Arosa

A fun-filled ski resort to suit all tastes

Arosa ski resort is located at the top of the Schanfigg Valley, surrounded by ragged, towering peaks. This resort is good for advanced skiers, fantastic for intermediate and excellent for beginners, as well as being fantastic for snowboarding. One of the smaller ski resorts in Switzerland Arosa has been a well-known and extremely popular alpine health resort for more than 100 years. On average, the sun shines eight to twelve hours a day and, due to its northerly location, there is always plenty of snow. Arosa is also part of the Top Cart Ski Area so you can ski in the neighbouring resorts as well.

This picturesque resort also has a lot to offer to the non-skier and is considered to be an Alpine sporting feast, guaranteed to provide visitors with a fun-filled holiday. Activities include indoor and outdoor ice-skating, curling, snow biking, tobogganing, winter hiking, sleigh rides, and ice hockey. Other resort facilities include an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, saltwater swimming pool, indoor tennis, squash, fitness centre, hot tub, jacuzzi, massage, and paragliding.

The skiing at Arosa is spread over a wide open bowl with access from both the lift at Inner Arosa and from Obersee. The beginners area is focused around the nursery slopes at Tschuggen with the lower section of Inner Arosa offering some novice terrain as well. For intermediates a variety of cruisy slopes are available and for a bit of a challenge try out the steeps at the top of Horuli and Weisshorn to get the legs pumping. There are some good ungroomed runs off the top of Weisshorn and Brüggerhorn, which should also increase the heart rate.
