Cavalese is one of 11 small resorts that make up the Val di Fiemme ski area and a great base from which to explore this area. A typical Italian resort, Cavalese is a great choice for beginners, intermediates and families. The cobbled streets of the old village centre are charming and offer a good range of pubs and pizzerias to suit all budgets. The Alpi di Cermis ski area of Cavalese has a good range of alpine skiing, and its north-facing slopes, ensure that the resort has an excellent snow record.

The Val di Fiemme ski area is extensive with its many national parks and large cross-country areas. With the majestic Dolomites always in view and an abundance of après-ski and leisure activities, Val di Fiemme is an unbeatable ski destination with something for everyone. Val di Femme has 150 kilometres of meticulously maintained ski slopes, serviced by 51 lifts. The runs are suitable for all levels, with 40% of slopes designated for beginners, 40% for intermediates and 20% for advanced skiers. There are a further 150 kilometres of cross-country runs, as well as a snowboard park for boarders.

Villages such as Cavalese, within the Val di Femme ski area are also linked to the awesome Dolomiti Super Ski region, which offers a mind-blowing 1,200 kilometres of varied runs.
