Les Arcs / La Plagne

One of the largest ski resorts in the world

La Plagne links to Les Arcs to form the Paradiski, a huge area with 425 km of pistes. The two resorts are linked by the Vanoise Express an impressive double decker cable car. the only one of its kind and one of the fastest and largest gondolas in the world. The Paradiski ski area has terrain for all abilities from tree lined pistes lower down the mountain, which are often quiet and good for bad weather, to high altitude glacier skiing on the Chiaupe Glacier. The slopes face lots of different directions and split into a number of different areas. You can ski south facing slopes in the morning and north facing in the afternoon.

For snowboarders, Paradiski area offers a tremendous amount of facilities:a half pipe and the so-called 7-3 in La Plagne (an almost American like snow park that is unprecedented across France with a variety of modules spread over a 900 meter-long freestyle run) or the enormous Apocalypse Snow park in Les Arcs. (An equally large snow park with green, red and black descents along a variety of modules).
