Obergurgl

Obergurgl, set in a remote spot at one end of the Ötztal valley, is one of Europe's highest ski villages

There are two beginner areas in Obergurgl, one in the village centre near the Rosskar lift and one at the bottom end of the village near the Festkogel lift. The Obergurgl ski school has an excellent reputation and all its instructors speak English.

For Intermediates Skiing in Obergurgl, the whole area, the Rosskar, Hohe Mut or Festkogl has an extensive choice for skiers who like long, spacious blue and red runs.

For Advanced Skiing in Obergurgl, there are some challenging black runs and good moguls on the unprepared ski routes or book a guide to explore the deep powder off-piste skiing. A day trip over to the glacier in Sölden is well worth it.

Pistes are generally suitable for snowboarding with a selection of jumps.
