Soldeu
Soldeu has now joined forces with Pasa de la Casa to give you the largest expanse of ski terrain in the Pyrenees
Soldeu is a lively and friendly village very popular with skiers and snowboarders for its relaxed ambiance and great après-ski. For its size, Soldeu is incredibly well served with thriving bars, clubs and restaurants as well as great facilities, both on and off the slopes. The resort spreads out over 4 kilometres in 4 distinct areas, which are El Tarter, Incles, Bordes d'Envalira and Soldeu village itself . All of these ski areas are connected by a regular bus service and access to the slopes is by modern gondola lifts from either Soldeu village or El Tarter. In the 2003-2004 ski season the two leading Pyreneen ski resorts, Pasa de la Casa - Grau Roig and Soldeu El Tarter, took advantage of their geographical proximity, to give birth to a ski area of European proportions - GrandValira. With this greatly enhanced ski terrain and lift system options for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders has doubled.
The snow record is excellent, with the majority of the skiing taking place above 2000 metres. The resort has also invested heavily in snow cannons, so as soon as it's cold enough the snow making begins, ensuring an excellent base is guaranteed for ski holiday in Soldeu. You will also find the ski school in Soldeu is excellent, with over 70% of the instructors speaking English as their first language, and an ideal place to have a lot of fun while learning to handle the pistes
