Excellent resort for intermediates and beginners with vast off-piste terrain for advanced
Located at the entrance of the Ziller Valley, Fügen has limited skiable terrain but is easily accessible. Using the free shuttle buses that provide transport throughout the valley and in the Zillertaler Super Ski Pass network, guests can access over 400 kilometres of runs. From glacier skiing at Hintertux to the snow-parks of Mayrhofen, the possibilities are endless. Despite its small size, Fügen is equipped with extensive recreational facilities that guarantee a pleasant stay. With three enclosed playgrounds for children, as well as an eight-person gondola, parents are free to enjoy the slopes.
Innsbruck airport is just one hours drive away so in no time at all you can be hitting the slopes. There is also an excellent ski school, offering the best facilities for beginners and children. Expert skiers will also enjoy the resort's good runs, and if looking for even bigger challenges, they can ski the vast off-piste terrain. The resort caters well for snowboarders, boasting two fun-parks on the Speiljoch and in Hochfugen, along with some great freeride terrain. Hochzillertal has a great 110 metre halfpipe, tables and jumps, as well as excellent freeriding by the Wedelexpress. Apres ski is fairly low key and quite traditional, consisting mainly of a couple of shops, some bars and clubs and a selection of an excellent restaurants offering a delicious combination of traditional Austrian, German and international cuisine.
