Tatranska Lomnica
Good value skiing in a fairytale setting
Tatranska Lomnica is located in the High Tatras, Carpathian mountain system, which after the Alps is the second largest and longest in Europe. You will be surrounded by pine forests and mountain peaks that have a fairytale ambience to it. The tall wooden Hansel and Gretel chalets with turrets and pitched roofs heavy with snow look good enough to eat. The nearest international airport is Krakow, Poland 145 kilometres away and the nearest domestic airport is in Poprad, which Sky Europe flies directly into and is then linked by mountain railway to Tatranska Lomnica. For winter sport enthusiasts, Slovakia is a winter wonderland, where ski slopes are found virtually everywhere. If there is a hill, there is a very good chance people will ski and snowboard down it!
In Tatranska Lomnica you will get off the beaten track and experience a different culture on uncrowded slopes or adventurous backcountry free-ride areas. Slovakia is a new snowboarding destination and offers great natural conditions for snowboarding activities.
