Hotel Steinbock
The Hotel Steinbock is a chalet-style 3-star hotel with 20 rooms located within approx. 10 minutes walking distance to the railway station and close to the shopping street and several public facilities such as the sports center with indoor swimming pool, and ice skating rink (free entrance). The hotel is next to the "First" gondola station, thus ideal for skiers, and the bus for transfers to the railway station and the other ski areas stops right in front of the hotel. The Hotel Steibock is the oldest hotel in Grindelwald and was originally built more than 300 years ago. The entire hotel has been completely rebuilt in 1992 and is still offering a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel facilities include the very popular restaurant "Pizzeria da Salvi" which is well known for its Italian cuisine and grilled chickens, and for Swiss specialties. There is also a breakfast room and the "Grappa Bar" offering more than 100 different Grappas.
